Resumen

Esta investigación pretende aproximarse a la representación cultural que tiene el cunnilingus y a su percepción por parte de jóvenes heterosexuales, comparando la práctica análoga (felación) para observar desigualdades en la concepción y práctica entre la sexualidad masculina y la femenina. Se trata de una investigación de carácter cualitativo y presenta un análisis en dos niveles: se examina, de una parte, material audiovisual (cine, porno y vídeos de Youtube), y se recoge, de otra, la perspectiva de los y las participantes a través de entrevistas en profundidad de carácter semi-estructurado.

Como principales resultados, se determina que el sexo oral se representa mayoritariamente a través del cunnilingus en el cine convencional; a través de la felación en el porno; y a través tanto del cunnilingus como de la felación en Youtube. En pantalla, las mujeres realizan sexo oral con más frecuencia: el placer de dar placer se relaciona con la figura de la mujer, pero no con la del hombre. Se aprecian diferencias en los discursos en torno al cunnilingus y a la felación en el mundo audiovisual, desde los mensajes, la puesta en escena o el trato del cuerpo de la mujer.

Por otro lado, tras el análisis de los datos obtenidos mediante las entrevistas se establece que ellos relacionan con más frecuencia el sexo oral con el cunnilingus que ellas, aunque tanto chicas como chicos apuntan a la felación como representación predominante del sexo oral. Las jóvenes heterosexuales se ven con problemas para incorporar, a voluntad, la práctica del cunnilingus en las relaciones sexuales que tienen y, con más frecuencia que ellos, perciben que la práctica del cunnilingus no está socialmente aceptada ni normalizada. Con todo, el cunnilingus vive una representación diferente a la de la felación, que contribuye a que exista una brecha entre hombres y mujeres en referencia a la vivencia, experimentación y percepción en torno al sexo oral.

Abstract

This research aims to approximate the cultural representation of cunnilingus and its perception by heterosexual young people, compared to the analogous practice (fellatio) and to observe inequalities in conception and practice between male and female sexuality. It’s a qualitative research and presents an analysis on two levels: on one hand it examines, audiovisual material (cinema, pornography and Youtube videos), and collects, on the other hand, the perspective of participants through in-depth interviews (semi-structured).

As main results, it determines that oral sex is mainly represented through cunnilingus in conventional cinema; through fellatio in pornography; and both through cunnilingus and fellatio on Youtube. On screen, women perform oral sex more often: the pleasure of giving pleasure relates to the figure of the woman, but not to the man’s. Differences are seen in the discourses around cunnilingus and fellatio in the audiovisual world, from messages, staging or treatment of women’s body.

On the other hand, after analysis of the data obtained through interviews, it’s established that boys relate more frequently oral sex with cunnilingus that girls, although both girls and boys point to fellatio as the predominant representation of oral sex. Heterosexual girls have trouble to incorporate the practice of cunnilingus in the sexual relations they have and, more often than boys, perceive that the practice of cunnilingus isn’t socially accepted or standardized. However, the cunnilingus lives a different representation of fellatio, which contributes to a gap between men and women in reference to the experience, experimentation and perception around oral sex.
